If BMW would have made the E46 M3 in a sedan platform, I would have probably looked this good. But too bad they didn't. But that did not stop JeppeJ from making his own E46 M3 Sedan. All it took was a E46 sedan and a very clean example of E46 M3 Coupe. The project took over a year to perform, but He did all the mechanical work himself. In the end he ended up with this very clean M3 sedan. what a pride and joy.

How it all began. A very stock looking sedan and a very clean M3.

First order of business was to strip the Sedan.

The front end was test fitted. But the fenders don't line up. So both the sedan and M3 fenders were both grafted together. The end result is, you can't tell that it consisted of two different fenders.

Same goes for the rear end. The bumpers don't lineup. Being that the owner has plans for the M3 chassis. He went ahead and purchased a pair of new quarter skins from BMW. Then he started to graft the M3 bulged and fit the bumper. This things looking good with the progress.

Details. Do it right or not at all. The CSL trunk doesn't quite fit. Sure he could have gotten the sedan Trunk lid. But Then that wouldn't be right. So time was spent making sure the right trunk fits. The spare tire well was also replaced with the M3 version to make room for the M3 final drive and suspension.

The car is now ready to go to the paint shop.

Back from the paint shop. Look at that beautiful paint. Now its time to start putting this car back together. Almost there.

Parts are carefully laid out on the floor. Making sure nothing gets overlooked or forgotten.

Now its time For that miles and miles of wires. Patience is the key here.

All this hard work would be meaningless if he didn't swap the motor. So yes, Heres the most important part of the swap. The engine swap.

Attention to details. Nothing was skipped. Look at that Sedan M3 door sills!

Well Here its is. The final product. Had BMW decided to build the E46 M3 Sedan I don't think they could have done a better job.
